We all want those abs. We see them on TV and all over our smart phones but how to get abs the quickest way possible can be a challenge. That is if you don’t know what you are doing. It is pretty easy to get abs if you are at a low body fat but what if you are over weight. It can still be easy with placing self-discipline and breaking certain habits.
How To Get Abs
You heard it before so I will say it again. Abs are made in the kitchen! But that doesn’t mean you have to give up the foods you love. It is not what you eat, it is more how much you eat. And it’s even more what time of the day you eat. You must control your eating in order to get abs the quickest way possible.
Do not eat 5-6 small meals. This has been fed to you by every muscle and fitness magazine. Don’t believe the hype. Why? Because you will most likely over eat. You eat all these meals for your “metabolism” but your calorie intake will exceed the amount you should be taking in. I don’t count calories and you shouldn’t either. Also you don’t want to carry around tupperware everywhere you go or look for food every few hours. Getting fit should be effortless.
HOW To Eat
Eating 2 to 3 average size meals is key. Also eating in a 8 hour window will help you burn fat while not doing anything. How is it possible to burn fat when not doing anything? When you go 14-16 hours without eating your body looks for something to burn. If there is no food in your body to burn then it will look for your fat. intermittent fasting is key to losing the weight fast if you got a lot of fat to burn. It’s not a diet it’s a lifestyle. Make it easy and not hard to get the abs you want.
WHEN To Eat
There are different ways to do it. You can wake up and wait 6 or so hours to eat. You can also eat in the morning and stop a certain time in the day. As long as you are eating in a 8 hour window you should be ready to get those abs in no time.
WHAT To Eat
At first, on how to get abs as quickly as possible I would recommend keeping carbs low. Eat your carbs after weight training workouts and on other days keep them low. Keeping carbs low for a month will jump-start your fat loss. You need to dedicate a month to fat loss if you have a lot to lose. Also eat a high amount of protein and lots of vegetables. Fat Loss Is Key

Smart Weight Training
Doing certain exercises will help you build your abs while not even focusing on your mid section. You can do these certain exercise while you are losing your fat.
Squat And Dead Lift
I put these 2 exercises together because you can do either or. They are basically a full body exercises focusing on your legs and back. Doing squats and or deadlifts will help you lose fat even more and give you the size you need to look good. You can not just lose fat without working out because then you are just going to look skinny.
Overhead Press And The Bench Press
I put these 2 exercises together because they work your upper body and will help you gain size there. You need a bigger upper body to match your newly smaller waist. Doing these “old school” type exercises have never let any gym goer down. You do the key lifts and lose fat then you will have the body you want. Which is a body packed with muscle.
I know you were wondering when I would get to the ab training. Believe it or not this is the least important part of this whole article. Yes you do need to work out your abdominal to get a six-pack but no it is not as important as you think.
Any type of workout that includes leg raises is very important to building up your abdominal. You want to be able to lift your legs and don’t count till you start feeling the “pain”.

Weighted Ab Exercises
Another myth I hear when I talk to new gym goers is “don’t work out your abs with weights because then your stomach will just get big”. That is half-true. If you are fat, yes you will increase your belly size. I see these fat guys in the gym on the weighted ab exercises machines and I just shake my head. Since you will be losing fat from what I am telling you it is OK to use weights to build up your abdominal. A matter of fact is they will show faster if you do. They are like any other muscle. You add weights to them so they can grow.
Alternating Ab Routine
Now you are using weights to build your abdominal and incorporating leg raises in your ab workouts. It is time for a plan! Every time you workout your abs you should alternate weights and non weighted exercises. Use the weights for size and mid section muscle growth. Use non weighted ab exercises for the cuts. You don’t want only bulky abs, you want the shredded look as well. Skipping a day and not working on them everyday is all you need. Enjoy the journey to ab city!
Once you get your six-pack it shouldn’t be a problem to keep them year round. As long as it becomes a lifestyle and not a diet. Eating healthy is key but not an end all solution to how to get abs the quickest way possible. It is just one piece of the puzzle. It’s all about calorie intake and how much food you are eating. I can eat McDonald’s every day (which I don’t recommend) and still maintain my six-pack. You should alway be pushing yourself in the gym with your weight training workouts. Also having control of your food intake with keeping the fat off your body.
There is no such thing! You can just lose the fat around your belly. Your fat loss will be evenly distributed across your whole body. Sorry to tell you but that’s just the way it goes. Now there are some tricks you can do to reduce your midsection. Pay close attention to the word “reduce”. The ongoing trend with woman is the waist trainer. You see these small waists with these big butts now. These waist trainers are not a new phenomenon because they been around for years. The girdle has been around since … A very long time. Now I am not saying wear a waist trainer but let me get to this.
The Stomach Vacuum
The exercise I learned from the great Arnold Schwarzenegger. If you notice in his body building days he had a very small waist mixed with his huge upper body making him look like a monster. As I recall he did an exercise called the stomach vacuum.
How To Do It
Just suck in your stomach till failure. That’s it! Treat it like any other exercise and do it with sets and reps. The reps are timed to see how long you can do it for. Make sure you breathe while you do it and do a few sets. The good thing about this exercise is you can do it anywhere. All it is doing is training your stomach to be more compact. The smaller your waist is the better you will look with added on muscle on the shoulders.
